3. Does Cole Train Play A Major Role?

You have to imagine Microsoft have drip-fed the general populace various glimpses of Gears 4, simply to save all the big surprises for the game's release.

One that slipped through was the reveal that Augustus Cole is in the game, but at this stage, we don't know how much of a role he's going to play. Hopefully a large one, as his inclusion comes without anything of Baird in tow, pointing to where his arc may take him. The pair were good friends before and during the original trilogy, yet Cole and Marcus are perhaps the only two members of Delta Squad that remain.

In the trailer, it looks as though Cole is making a save during a particularly intense battle, and his scenes will factor into the general notion of 'passing the torch'. Point being: If the writers are selling us on the new cast, we don't want to come out of Gears 4 talking about the times they weren't onscreen.
