God Of War: 10 Best Abilities You Must Unlock First
6. Ferocity
You might think that, given what tends to happen when a health bar hits zero, that keeping a watchful eye on an enemy's vitality is the most important thing to keep tabs on for the sake of prioritizing the weakest of the bunch, but no, it's the stun gauge.
Pushing that bar up to its maximum will cause an enemy to stagger and open themselves up to being brutally put down with a cinematic finisher, so it's good practice to work that bar first, especially when you're up against foes with deep health reserves. Doing so is much easier when Kratos uses his fists for battle, but you also get a sizeable boost by way of Atreus.
The boy's arrows will naturally build stun gauge but sinking points into Ferocity will open up a whole nother bag of tricks designed to put enemies into a dazed state.
As with most of his repertoire, Atreus is more likely to perform specific attacks if certain conditions are met. In this case, he just needs to be in close proximity to an enemy, so if you see him dive-kicking or uppercutting mythological Nordic creatures with his bow, make it your mission to capitalize on the boost and go in for the full stun (and free kill).
