God Of War: 9 New Things We Can't Wait To Do
1. Seeing If We Can Survive The Unlockable Difficulty Setting
Testing your mettle on the hardest difficult levels in any God of War game has always provided players with a pretty darn satisfying challenge, but the upcoming sequel is said to take the idea one step further. While you still have your regular three options - easy, medium and hard - the devs have worked on a fourth setting that completely reshapes the way the game is played.
Not only upping the difficulty, this final option is said to change every enemy in the whole game, altering their placement in the world in order to keep gamers on their toes, as well as changing their attack patterns in a way that'll force fans to learn them all over again.
That latter feature is admittedly a pretty huge deal; it's already been revealed that God of War is taking a page out of Dark Souls' book by having hard-hitting enemies that can only be mastered by learning their tells and wind ups and wind downs, so changing these completely for the final setting should force players to think of every interaction differently.
Although another difficulty level might not appear like a big deal, it's going to go a long way in upping the replayability of the title, and will no doubt provide one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, gaming experiences of the year.
