4. Bear McCreary’s Score

I need, NEED to take a moment to champion the mighty, powerful and signature score Bear McCreary and his team have put together for Ragnarok's sizeable audio footprint.

There are so many portions of the game; epic in-game fights to brutal cutscenes, team-up segments to Atreus being inquisitive as to his overall purpose, that are entirely enhanced by McCreary's work.

The way Ragnarok's score weaves in and out of Kratos' heavier, lumbering, grandiose feel to something more adventurous, "fresher" and altogether more "playful" to replicate Atreus' mindset when the pair are on screen, is simply a cut above.

Again, no spoilers, but certain depictions of action are reinforced by on-the-money orchestral backing, with the result only making you cheer harder.
