Gran Turismo 6: 10 Things It Needs

1. Improved AI

And finally, we have one issue that has bugged the Gran Turismo series ever since its inception; for all of those (usually) cracking visuals, these games are marred considerably by absolutely terrible AI. With the presence of a racing line by default in the more recent games, it has become even more noticeable that the AIs stick exactly to one specific route around the track, regardless of what you're doing in relation to them. Bash a car out the way? It'll defer straight back to the racing line like a magnet. Try to overtake? No problem, whereas of course, in real life, they'd close the gap and not let you through if they could help it. Given how much of the game is rooted in single player, it's surprising that more effort hasn't been put into making it seem tactically authentic; after all, this is the series that touts itself as "the real driving simulator". Again, ditch B-Spec and focus more on things like this that people actually care about. What would you like to see in Gran Turismo 6? Let us know in the comments below.
