Gran Turismo 6: 10 Things It Needs

2. Get Rid Of B-Spec

B-Spec Mode was introduced in the fourth Gran Turismo game and, to be fair, was a pretty novel concept; you play the chief of a racing team, advising your drivers when to speed up, slow down, drive more and less aggressively, and when to pull into the pits. This mode also allowed you to play through races at a faster speed, meaning that the Le Mans 24 Hours, for instance, didn't seem quite so arduous. However, I can't say I ever really played the mode on Gran Turismo 5 very much, because it was basically a novelty and not at all a patch on the thrill of actually getting behind the wheel. For the sixth game, I'd have no problem with Polyphony doing away with it entirely, and focusing more on things people have been crying out for, such as the aforementioned all-premium model detail. Given that I and most people I know played B-Spec in GT5 for around only 10 minutes, it seems like a waste of development time.
