8. More New Cars, Less Variations
Though Gran Turismo 5 boasts over 1000 cars, does it really? Maybe it's because I'm not a car nerd, but so many of the cars in that number amount to minor variants on the same model, with the difference in performance and look being minor at best. The Mazda MX5 is probably one of the most egregious examples, given that it has several dozen instances of what is basically the same car, and is really just an excuse for Polyphony to not have to model a new car from scratch. What's more, why make so many versions of an MX5? Like I say, I'm no car expert, but it's a very average vehicle within the scope of the game, and you'll outgrow it pretty quickly. How's about taking out these lazy buffers and spending more time on actually including vehicles that people want to see? More Bentleys and Ferraris, please...
