6. Divided Communities
Ever wondered what it'd have been like to have lived in East or West Berlin during the era of the Berlin wall? Try living in Grand Theft Auto, that'd give you a fair idea. In Liberty City, the Callahan Bridge connecting Portland to Staunton Island has been damaged by an explosion, while in Vice City, bridges are shut down because of Hurricane Hermione, and in GTA IV, the bridges are once more closed to the public because of the climate of fear surrounding terrorism. It's pretty rough if you live in Algonquin and your family live in Dukes. Talk about isolation. You'd better hope some stranger completes a particular mission in order to magically re-open the bridges so you can be reunited with your loved ones again.
