8. Multiple Protagonists

Carrying forward from GTA V's mechanics (and tying in with another note of the latest leak), we're almost definitely getting multiple protagonists once again.

Assumedly it'll mean the character-switching setup returns and we'll hop between avatars at will, though more interesting is pairing this with the aforementioned idea of a story spanning multiple regions.

If we do end up getting a story about drug running between North and South America, it'd make sense to have characters on both sides. You could be prepping a landing site and evading the cops on one side whilst flying the product through the skies with the other.

This also lets Rockstar fulfil many other requested ideas like a female protagonist or greater diversity in character backgrounds, all without sacrificing gameplay. It seems like the idea of playing as a group fits into Rockstar's approach to an open world, and it'll be very interesting to see if Red Dead Redemption 2 does the same.
