GTA 6: 10 Reasons Vice City Is The Perfect Location
4. A Location No Longer Limited By Hardware
When all the fun is accounted for, both Vice City and Vice City Stories feel like open world titles that were prisoners to their own time.
The city's debut on PS2 had its gameplay limits because of the console's lack of power (with its little brother on the PSP facing a similar issue), and as Rockstar have always been ones to push the boundaries of modern technology, a game as ambitious as Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was always going to be hindered by its hardware.
Returning to the location with the level of freedom of movement that come with current Rockstar releases sounds like the stuff of dreams, and exploring every nook and cranny in true GTA fashion would feel like the level of exploration that the city deserves.
Whereas journeying too far into the water surrounding the city resulted in immediate death in years past, the (somewhat) recent GTA V thrives in its underwater attention to detail.
The 2010's have proven that Rockstar are not only committed to preventing the suffocating restrictions that were present in earlier entries, but that they are continuint to ensure that the boundaries are increasingly transparent.
