GTA 6: 10 Rumours You NEED To Know
10. It Could See A 2021 Release
Perhaps the first and most pressing question is exactly when we'll all be sitting down to install GTA 6 on our hard drives before leaping into the adventure.
According to games industry analyst Michael Pachter during an interview with Gamingbolt late-last year, there's a fair chance it'll be as early as 2021. That, to Pachter, fits snugly into Rockstar's usual pattern of releasing their titles, and it'd beat the 2022-2023 release predicted elsewhere.
Pachter's main reasoning seems to be the eight-year gap between Red Dead Redemption and its sequel. Should GTA 6 come out in 2021, it'd follow the same development cycle as Rockstar's other franchise did (2010-2018 for Red Dead and 2013-2021 for GTA). Interesting stuff, and the dude sure knows what he's talking about.
Let's hope he's right, and his prediction that Rockstar will announce 6 in 2020 for release the following year comes true. Nobody likes waiting, even if it's because development houses want to iron out any kinks.
