2. A Killer Soundtrack

Go on, name a few songs you liked from GTA IV or V. I'll wait.

It's hard, right? Where it feels like Vice City and San Andreas were absolutely bursting with hit after hit, backing your crazy crime-related actions with just the right song every time, GTA V especially is more likely to throw an obscure artist your way, instead of anything that 'fits'.

To remedy that, as was the problem with a larger game world meaning there are less memorable places that get embedded into your brain, trim down the soundtrack somewhat and offer a more curated list of real bangers.

Such an approach goes hand in hand with choosing a romanticised 'era' for the game instead of just another modern period, but that's where this next point comes in...
