GTA 6: 10 Things Rockstar Must AVOID From Red Dead 2

6. The Abundance Of Realistic Animations

The amount of time spent looting bodies, cutting up hunted down animals, and opening drawers was insane in RDR2.

On their own they were only a few seconds long, but as you often do these one after the other, they become laborious quite fast. Especially when you had to do 3 different animations just to stow an item on your horse or your person.

It was an odd inclusion considering shaving and trimming had no animation, and smoking a cigarette was one puff and thrown away.

It would be clever to leave this finer detail to events that don't happen as frequently, such as planting dynamite on a hard surface, or looting from a safe. Both instances work well to keep the pressure in a gun fight and occur too little to become tedious.

GTA 6 should entirely avoid this and play into the action of the game. The longer it takes to do the average thing, the more players lose interest. Excluding the fact that RDR2 gained in character what it lost in gameplay, GTA 6 should be the opposite, encouraging players to dig into all aspects of the game untouched by drawn-out animations.
