GTA 6: 7 New Rumours Everyone Is Going Crazy Over
4. Are Rockstar Teasing GTA VI In GTA Online?
Perhaps one of the more interesting and indeed credible theories we've had so far though is that Rockstar is using GTA Online as a means of teasing GTA VI. Stranger things have happened before, with players even discovering hints towards Red Dead Redemption 2 after the Doomsday Heist launched in 2017.
Over the last couple of months, users within the GTA community have pointed out several possible in-game references to the next Grand Theft Auto. The first came in the Diamond Heist update last December, with Reddit user TheFirmWare theorising that clues hidden in the update point towards a potential trailer reveal for GTA VI coming in October 2020.
This is true Milhouse "through the looking glass" levels of conspiracy right now, but honestly? Stranger things have happened as far as Rockstar are concerned.
Following this, another supposed tease for GTA VI came in the form of an in-game advert players can find while browsing the internet on their in-game phones - one for a business called "Six Figure Temps", and the other for an airline called "Adios Airlines". The latter sponsors the former, with it also being heavily implied that both business are engaging in some sort of drug running scheme, which is a rumoured plot element of the next title.
And finally we come to the most recent supposed teaser for GTA VI, which arrived in last week's Open Wheel update. The latest addition to GTA Online includes new race tracks, with user tenet007 claiming that one track may tease the locations of Florida, Mexico, and even Carcer City (pictured here at the top of the entry).
It's all a little... out there. But again, maybe Rockstar are being deliberate with these references? Only time will tell.
