GTA 6: 8 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know
2. Its Working Title Is 'Project Americas'
Lending further weight to reports that the next instalment in the franchise will broach multiple settings, GTA VI's working title is said to be 'Project Americas'. The Americas, as we all know, refers to the continents of North and South America, including the nations of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and numerous other Latin American states.
The working title certainly speaks to the scale of the next Grand Theft Auto, which is said to boast an open world even bigger than the one found in GTA V. Red Dead Redemption 2's map is already meant to be massive, and with GTA VI set to release at least three years after Rockstar's western sequel, logic would imply that the scale will increase.
If the title actually does take place outside of the US, or at least introduces settings outside of it, then it would make for a major breath of fresh air. Fans have been clamouring for an non-American setting for years now, and while speculation had pointed towards a potential Asian locale, it looks as though Rockstar are opting to explore South America instead.
