GTA 6: 9 Things It Must Learn From GTA V
8. Not So Many 'One Time Only' Random Events
GTA V's random events, which typically involved some sort of attempted robbery, were entertaining, but limited. A continuation of the 'Strangers' pop-ups from Red Dead Redemption, unlike RDR, they lacked a sense of variety in objectives, leading to too many similar-feeling side activities on a consistent basis.
The more specific random events like a woman that's attempting to flee her wedding or the Altruist cult certainly offered variety, but their one-time-only accessibility reduced the entertainment value.
GTA VI should take on this system of random events that occur throughout the map, but allow them to be more than just preventing robberies and one-time events where you drive someone to a certain destination. RDR had events where you'd save people from being hanged or helped officers catch fleeing criminals.
GTA VI's random events simply cannot continue to feel one-note.
