For better or worse, the developers have always said GTA is inherently rooted in American culture, so while I'd love to see the series venture to London or further abroad, its identity is intrinsically linked to the iconic cities it has already covered.

Ultimately then, by going down the route I've laid out here, Rockstar would be able to create the definitive GTA experience to define a whole new generation.

It could lean on its history while still delivering something ambitious the franchise hasn't seen before, leading to huge possibilities for both single and multiplayer, and elevating what players expect from this sub-genre.

Is it too much work? Potentially, but it's an idea that would build on the foundations and experiments the devs have already flirted with in previous games. The precedent has been set, it's just whether Rockstar want to follow through.
