GTA Online: 10 Reasons It Was A Huge Disappointment

6. 2 Month Wait For Content Creator

One of the more interesting and innovative features advertised for GTA Online was the Content Creator, which would allow players to plot their own races and deathmatches, choosing the route of the race and designing the layout of their deathmatch map. But like other anticipated features, the Content Creator did not launch on release, and it took almost 2 and a half months before it was finally rolled out into the game. The problem is that by this point, with the game already proving a let down to many and the PS4 and Xbox One having been launched, a lot of players had already abandoned the game, and this wasn't about to lure them back. Rockstar should have thought things through a little: they shouldn't have promised something they couldn't deliver in a timely manner. It would have made sense to not publicise the Content Creator in earlier trailers, and maybe only hype it up a week or two before its actual release. Though the mode works pretty well on the whole, it was sadly too little too late.
