GTA: San Andreas - 10 Reasons It's Still The Best In The Series
10. The Variety Of San Andreas Itself
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas boasts one of the biggest open world maps ever seen in video gaming. There's a real diversity to the landscape too; there's three major cities (Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas) and the rest of the geography is made up of various biomes like the dense forestry of Whetstone in the south-east or the harsh desert to the north. The way the story moves accompanies this perfectly too. The first section of the game is set entirely in Los Santos (you probably won't even realise just how big the map is at this point) but once you move away, CJ will head through the map one section a time, constantly giving you something new to see; you'll be amazed at the things you never realised San Andreas contained on a regular basis. Admittedly, once you've moved through the various areas of the game, there's very little reason to revisit them (especially Whetsone) but that doesn't detract from the sense of adventure the map inspires. San Andreas has a great feeling of progression and the game's map advocates this perfectly.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
