GTA: San Andreas - 10 Reasons It's Still The Best In The Series
3. The Supporting Cast
The people you meet in every Grand Theft Auto game are notoriously larger than life but just about every supporting character in San Andreas is memorable and fun in their own way. Big Smoke and Ryder are the first stand-outs - Big Smoke's optimistic approach to life is surprisingly refreshing in a Grand Theft Auto game (and his love for food is unprecedented) and Ryder's constant hunt for drugs and hilariously poor dialect is a constant source of hilarity early on. Even the serious characters like Sweet and Cesar are great; CJ's desire to re-earn his brother's favour drives the early section of the game and Cesar is constantly popping up to aid CJ. Really, most of the character's you'll be doing missions for have their own unique personality and style, quickly endearing themselves to you. To go along with these characters, there's some great dialogue too. The mission Drive-Thru showcases this best; it's a genuinely funny mission, thanks largely to Smoke's large food order and unwillingness to fire on a Ballas car in case he loses his meal. In general, most of the dialogue heard throughout the game is solid and it's just another reason as to why this cast of characters is so freaking good.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
