GTA Trilogy Remake: 10 Missions We Can't Wait To Play (& 10 We're DREADING)

2. Can't Wait: The Black Project - GTA: San Andreas

Black Project may well be the most unexpectedly brilliant mission in the history of the Grand Theft Auto series.

That's purely for one reason, and one reason alone - the thing you receive at the end of the mission.

In Black Project, CJ talks to his friendly neighbourhood stoner/alien conspiracy nut The Truth, where he learns of a mysterious base hidden on the map. Truth will drive CJ out to the base - Aka Area 69 - with minimal instructions, instead just leaving CJ to infiltrate a secret government base filled with military personnel.

To gain access you'll need to avoid searchlights, use your sniper rifle to take out the guards, and be as sneaky as you can. You'll infiltrate the base via a vent, and then how you get through it is entirely up to you. Be sneaky, or use the handily-placed minigun to gun everyone down instead? You decide!

Once you reach the bottom, you'll find something that'll make you practically squeal with excitement. Your very own jetpack, sitting there just waiting to be stolen. It's an epic moment that comes out of nowhere, and you'll be hard-pressed not to be beaming from ear to ear as you grab this unique vehicle.

Bonus point: like its apparent real-life counterpart Area 51, the Area 69 base is apparently working on things to do with aliens. The woman who announces ridiculous things will occasionally say 'all personnel working on alien bodies to evacuate immediately.'
