GTA V: 10 Awesome Locations You Simply Must Visit

7. Grove Street

Gtavgrovestreet It's always nice to go home after you've been away for a few years, and this particular pilgrimage to the heart of Los Santos might feel like exactly that. Yes, Grove Street is back, the home of one Mr Carl Johnson, the protagonist from GTA: San Andreas. Of course, in this universe (the HD Universe, as Rockstar puts it) CJ doesn't exist. Or at least he doesn't seem to. Grove Street has changed in this parallel universe. There are less houses in the cul-de-sac and it seems CJ's safehouse isn't even there at all. The one house that could belong to him is home to a shifty drug dealer who tries to short change you in one of Franklin's missions. But still Grove Street is similar enough to bring about a warming wave of nostalgia. Even if the only thing you can do there is kill some Ballas. There is a reference to CJ in one of the mission criteria for 'Derailed', a mission that has Trevor following a train. One of the criteria is 'Better Than CJ'. Interestingly there is some more cross-over in GTA V with San Andreas, but we'll get onto the specifics in another point.
