GTA V: 10 Awkward Features That Need Improving

8. Police A.I

You might be surprised to hear this, but the original GTA game was in fact built entirely around the concept of cars that ceaselessly try to ram you off the road. When original members of the R* dev team (back then called DMT Design) were designing a new top down city racing game called Race n Chase, which was eerily similar in look and feel to the first GTA title, originally play testers deemed the game to be terrible. It was saved from obscurity however by one redeeming feature; a glitch that caused police cars to go bats**t mental and try to ram the player to smithereens. Thus, GTA was born. And since then, Police Cars in GTA have pretty much followed one pattern (once you get past a 1 star wanted rating that is) and that€™s to crash into you, for all the good it does them. This has worked extremely well for the franchise so far, but by IV it€™s starting to get a little repetitive. For my money, the next title needs to ramp the cops up in terms of intelligence. But, if the recent rumours are true, the GTA V will feature police that come at you with riot shields and flashbangs should you€™re notoriety increase enough and will also hunt someone matching your description up to 72 hours after you€™ve escaped. This is exactly the kind of thing I€™m talking about here. Let€™s hope the above isn€™t bulls**t.
