1. Kent Paul
Kent Paul is possibly my favourite character from the Grand Theft Auto universe and so it is only natural that he takes the number one place on my list of characters that should return in GTA V. Despite working as the manager to the rock band Love Fist in Vice City, Kent is actually from Kent, England and believes himself to be a criminal mastermind, but is, however, a pathological liar. Despite this, Kent actually becomes a very close friend of Tommy Vercetti after they meet Love Fist together and Kent becomes a very useful information hive, as he proclaims himself that he is "good with rumours", giving him information on not only Vice City's major crime units, but also SWAT divisions. Kent is also the one who informed Tommy about Leo Teal and the part that he played in the ambush that Tommy was in the middle of when he first arrived in Vice City. If that isn't reason enough to love Kent Paul, he owns a website that he names Kent Paul's 80's Nostalgia Zone, the link to which is here:
http://www.kentpaul.com The tagline of "The name's Paul. I'm from Kent, near London. You mug" should be enough to convince you of the idiotic brilliance that is Kent Paul, as well as his Cockney personality that feels out of place amongst the highbrow gangsters of Vice City, yet at the same time seems to fit right in effortlessly. This is largely down to Danny Dyer's voice acting, another actor who I feel is sorely underrated and even misunderstood for simply a wannabe gangster, his voice fits the character perfectly and it is hard for me to imagine anyone else voicing Kent Paul half as well as Dyer does. Also, although Kent claims to have travelled to Vice City from England when he was 17, he later calls upon Tommy's acquisition of the Film Studios and tells him that he wants a role in one of Tommy's films as he acted in pornographic films when he was still in England. If you still need yet more reason why Kent Paul would be a great addition to GTA V, he travelled to San Andreas with a new band named the Gurning Chimps but wound up lost in the desert where he is rescued by CJ, before meeting with his old friend Ken Rosenberg, whom he affectionately calls Rosie. Kent Paul was last see in Los Santos where he produces for Madd Dogg, so he could well still be there in the modern day when GTA V will take place and I for one, will definitely be hoping for a starring role for Kent Paul until the time it is finally released. So, did I miss your favourite character? Or would you like to see a different direction taken with any of these characters upon the release of GTA V? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
