3. Character Switching
Perhaps one of the most exciting features of GTA V, or perhaps one of the most changing of the series is of course the ability to switch between our three protagonists. The Game Informer article gave a great deal of insights into this feature and highlighted not every mission will feature the three protagonists, some will feature two and some just the classic, one. Though not the first game to feature more than one main character, Heavy Rain for example, and not the first Rockstar game to feature more than one playable character, spoilers ahead, LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption, two surprise character changes near the conclusions, it is the first GTA to do so. Exploration through different eyes, so to speak, will be an entertaining step forward practically giving the game more worth and reason to play and replay.
2. Chop And Other Animals
Chop featured in an artwork and in the second trailer, we have seen seagulls near the beach and a shark in a screenshot but not much else when it comes to animals. With the map to feature a large amount of wilderness as well as urban environments, the wild would feel empty compared to Red Dead Redemption's landscape, Skyrim's plains and tundras and Far Cry 3's island creatures. I strongly believe other animals will feature but maybe as more of a distraction rather than a main focus. Which brings me to Franklin's dog Chop: at this stage we know very little about him, little. However, judging by the second trailer he will be involved occasionally and maybe even as a dog walking side mission.
