9. Just Generally Trying To Jump Over Things
There's no doubting at all that GTA V is a phenomenal achievement on most levels - it is a hugely engaging experience, the characters and universe are wonderfully executed, and there's enough in the game, as well as the Online portion to ensure that you're likely to spend hundreds of hours of your life in there, but it's not perfect by any means. We've already discussed the various elements of the game that failed to improve on GTA IV (a game robustly, and unfairly criticised from day one despite being genre-defining) and one of the most empowering in terms of silliness is the completely broken physics system that governs how the player interacts with sudden boundaries when running. A simple jump onto a fence, or over a small barrier becomes infinitely difficult to navigate, with the end result more likely to be an hilarious face plant. The first time you head into the game you imagine an Assassin's Creed-like world of seamless, smooth Parkour like this... And what you actually get...
