8. The Invisible Car
Probably the most hilariously awkward glitch captured by GTA V fans involved a frustratingly invisible car, a whining teenage sidekick and impossible mission parameters, but the effect of driving around on the back of the wind, changing imaginary gears and crashing into things was a wonderful, and often hilarious experience. During the mission in which Jimmy - arguably a vastly more annoying sidekick character than Roman Bellic ever was - asks for your help to rescue him from kidnappers, after the Meltdown mission, if you accept the mission and then call a cab to take you to Jimmy's position, it's possible to confuse the game again, and make the hilarious invisible car glitch happen. Rather than letting the taxi complete it's journey normally, if you "Skip" to fast-travel to the destination, an invisible Jimmy will start talking as if you've already completed the mission, and if you take a few steps into the road, you'll bump into the invisible vehicle he's hiding in. It might mean sacrificing any hope of completing the mission, but the result is pretty comical, and it also gives you a look into how much detail goes into a driving animation you barely ever get to see... And if you aren't comfortable driving an invisible car - perhaps your invisible licence has been suspended - you could always climb an invisible ladder to absolutely nowhere... This magical ladder, found at the power station in the port area of Los Santos takes you to nowhere, somewhat disappointingly, but it's still a funny way to kill time.
