9. 2013 Release
GTA V has been met with massive speculation over its release date; with industry specialists, retailers and players all throwing their opinion into the mix, all arguing something slightly different, but all equally as insistent, GTA Vs release date remains a complete mystery. General consensus is definitely pointing to a 2013 release but at this point all opinions are still firmly planted in the realms of conjecture. Im so sick of waiting by now that a sudden 2012 release announcement would be music to my ears and hey, it could still happen, right? R* have been nothing if not unpredictable, unprecedented with their marketing strategy thus far, so a surprise move like this isnt exactly so difficult to imagine. With almost nothing in terms of solid information leaving R*s collective lips, any details around the release date is guess work; it could be educated guess work, but its guess work nonetheless. The 2013 release is as much of a rumour as the 2012 release and although this year is rapidly coming to a close, Im still holding out hope (call it naiveté if you like) that Ill be placing GTA V on my Christmas list.
