8. No Surrounding Wilderness
One of the rumours Ive been repeatedly hearing on my internet travels is that GTA Vs map is to be confined to Los Santos (and a few neighbouring towns) and will not contain the surrounding wilderness areas you might remember from San Andreas; Back O Beyond and Mt. Chiliad. This is perhaps contradicted by the GTA V map that was supposedly leaked by an ex-R* employee, however said map was fairly rapidly debunked as a fake and so this rumour remains in the realm of possibility (see map below). Maybe these locations arent of huge importance compared to Los Santos itself, but theyre still a part of the world that R* have already created; no doubt we want to see what they look like now, with all the graphical improvements. I remember having crazy fun craning dirtbikes around these remote settings in San Andreas and itd be a shame if I didnt get to have an updated experience so to speak, using the new vehicles and physics. You might say its unlikely R* will neglect to include Los Santos surrounding wilderness, seeing as Mt. Chiliad was featured in the reveal trailer, however its a rumour thats still in circulation nonetheless. Lets just cross out fingers and hope it turns out to be bullsh*t.
