GTAs leading men have always been different in their rules, morals and code. Sure they all shoot a gun and jack a car in the same way but consider this: Niko is a soldier, Tommy is a greedy larger than life cliche of an entire generation of films, CJ is raised on the streets and Claude is the voiceless killer who got the ball rolling. Not a similarity between them and the same goes for the three characters in GTA V. Houser has said that the PS2 generation are indeed that, a generation from another world and will categorically not be making an appearance in GTA V. He has mentioned however that some GTA IV characters will appear in V. Bernie Crane hooking up with Michael for a bike ride? Phil Bell took his money and ran in GTA IV, maybe he moved to Los Santos like Michael for 'the weather'? Trevor has to do missions for a shady government agent who has him by the balls much like the U.L Paper guy missions? Who knows, either way, the possibilities are almost endless, so long as the characters aren't dead, they could have made it way out west.
