GTA V: 10 Things We've Learned From The New Trailer

9. Dogs

In keeping with that amusing tone, we get a glimpse of a dog in the new trailer, leaping over the bonnet of the car and giving chase in the middle of a gunfight; how that ends up, who knows? Still, after introducing dogs in the likes of Bully and Red Dead Redemption, they've finally shown up in GTA, though how they will be used is anyone's guess, and as these games are veritable controversy magnets, Rockstar might want to be wary about how much they allow players to interact with and even kill them. In Red Dead Redemption, killing dogs was considered acceptable because it was a means to an end - you skinned them for a practical use - and of course, John Marston is a mere product of his time, but if GTAV allows you to run around shooting pups at every corner, then it's liable to have PETA slagging it off a little closer to release. Still, the idea of having our gun-totting protagonists rocking a poodle at their side certainly gives us a giggle; we hope this idea is developed with customisation in mind, as it could add some much-needed light to the series.
