GTA V: 10 Unfortunate Consequences Of Living In Los Santos
2. Incessant Heisting Has Pretty Much Ruined The Banking System
Much like jogging or speedboat-ing, heists appear to be a popular pastime in Los Santos. Indeed, its impossible to go anywhere with a couple of valuables and not find an erstwhile queue of robbers waiting in an orderly queue for the current crew to get through the ever-replenishing goodies on offer in some of the citys wealthier establishments. To be a banker in this place must come with PTSD as a job standard Im pretty sure they a day without an armed assault (or as they might call it, Saturday) is pretty dull. But still, while I feel for their plight, imagine what it means for the hard-working city residents. All they want to do is deposit their money in a place that wont be assaulted by C4-toting amoral crackpots, but unfortunately, no such unmolested Shangri-La exists. Im pretty sure bank collapses must be a regular thing in LS, but again, Im also sure that no-ones exactly surprised by this lack of confidence in the system. Anyone whos everyone has robbed a bank there to the extent that I wouldnt bat an eyelid if the cashiers had some sort of script for dealing with their third break-in of the morning, complete with eye-rolls and oh-not-you-agains. Couple that with the fact you cant even use one of the citys many ATMs without some neer-do-well clubbing out your intestines through your arse and youve got a banking system at best horribly crippled, and at worst completely redundant. Its no wonder everyones mortgage is in the toilet those in the know are too busy with their hands in the air to worry about trifling things beyond getting their sixth lead injection that week.
