GTA V: 13 Things You Probably Didn't Know You Could Do

2. Knife A Shark

The in-game addition of hunting to GTA V is one of the bonuses for players looking for somewhat atypical gameplay to while away the hours and enjoy the time and effort that Rockstar have clearly put into building the world of Los Santos for the game. Other than mountain lions, or cougars as they are more correctly known, the majority of the land animals in the game are reasonably harmless (cougars can and will immediately kill you, sometimes without you even knowing they're near,) but when it comes to the sea, the story is different. If you're willing to go out swimming in the deeper parts of the ocean, you're likely to meet the multi-toothed smiling face of a shark, who will attack and probably kill you within seconds. But some intrepid hunters have proven that sharks are not the impenetrable killing machines they often seem, by taking the fight to the creepy ocean predators. The result was the discovery that the sharks are actually fairly simple to kill. Guns won't work, obviously, but a couple of slashes of a trusty knife will put paid to any shark in the vicinity, and make you feel like Quint, if he hadn't been bitten in half quite so unceremoniously. The shark killing stakes were typically raised by the GTA V online community, who started a trend of killing and showing off their trophies on land, whether by removing part of the animal, or by dragging the whole thing to the shore.
