8. Meet Kanye West

While it has been widely debunked (not least officially by Rockstar and the real model Shelby Welinder) that the bikini-clad model who adorned the pre-release poster art for GTA V was not in fact Kate Upton as many suggested, thanks to a creepily close likeness, rumours abound that another celebrity has been sneakily hidden in the game. According to some typically eagle-eyed Redditers (via Metro,) none other than Taylor Swift-annoying, self-styled rap "God" Kanye West can be found in the game, if you look hard enough. As you walk around the game, you might be lucky enough to come across a black NPC with a familiar-looking, exquisitely manipulated goatee, and tattoos that you might have seen from the celebrity pages. That NPC bears an undeniable resemblance to West, whose association with the GTA series goes back one game, when he was included as part of the soundtrack - and perhaps this was how he was repaid (aside from the cash payment he presumably insisted on.) There's a chance the doppelganger is just a coincidence, but this wouldn't be the first time the Rockstar team had spoofed celebrities - though this would seem to be a small, and difficult to find homage to the rapper, rather than an open parody.
