GTA V: 20 Reasons Why You Should Be Excited

17. Collectibles

Remember the Pigeons from GTA IV? I will kill them all one day, I promise you that, but the fact that I haven€™t yet is invariably one of the many reasons I still to this day haven€™t been able to bring myself to trade in GTA IV. Rockstar are leading the pack in terms of gamer retention and are most likely set to keep this accolade when GTA V is released. Maybe Collectibles are a small part of that; the lion€™s share of what retains gamers after story completion is multiplayer and DLC but I guarantee you€™ll find thousands upon thousands of players out there that invested their time and effort into finally solving Liberty City€™s flying rat problem. It€™s such a simple little inclusion that managed to stretch GTA IV out for many hours longer than the story and it€™d be hard to imagine a GTA V without Collectibles in some form. What they€™ll be, who knows (it€™s L.A so maybe some lost academy awards would fit the bill) but to the right people, a whole new set of collectibles to find will be an exciting prospect indeed.
