2. Michael Kills Franklin & Trevor - Lives Happily Ever After
The argument on your front lawn is over, and it's clear that no amount of money is going to smooth out the issues between you and Trevor. There's also the obvious growing frustration in your protégé Franklin, who can't believe how unprofessional the operation has gotten. If you're ever going to be happy and free to retire as a family man, it's clear what needs to happen: your partners have to go. You tell Amanda you've got to head out for a bit, and jump in the car to drive to the desert. You pull up to Trevor's trailer and knock on the door. You tell him you want to talk, you want to put all the issues between you to rest. He tells you from inside to go away. You insist. He refuses. No matter, you know what needs to be done. You tell him you're leaving, but you slap a sticky bomb on his trailer and blow it sky high as you pull out of his driveway, heading back to Los Santos. On the drive back, you call Franklin and tell him to meet you to discuss the heist. There's heat on, and you guys might need to take care of some business. He agrees, and you tell him to meet you at the Vinewood sign that evening. But you never do. You arrive early and watch the sign from the scope of your sniper rifle. Franklin shows up and jumps out of his car moments later, leaning against the hood of his car and awaiting your arrival. From a distance you apologize for having to do this, whispering that he's a loose end that needs to be tied up. Pop. Frankin is gone. Trevor is gone. Michael is finally free to enjoy the family life he so desperately wanted from the start.
