1. Dancing (GTA: San Andreas & GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony)
Another rhythm game that again felt unnecessary and ultimately very boring. The inclusion of dancing within both San Andreas and The Ballad of Gay Tony was to impress your date and while the Girlfriend aspect of each game allowed the player to gain perks, the boredom to be endured to gain them leads to apathy. The dancing mini-game within San Andreas in particular came at a time where rhythm games were extremely popular, utilising the dance mat for games such as the popular Dance Dance Revolution series. Both games would have been better if they dancemat was available to use and while it would be problematic switching between peripherals, the point of the mini-game would at least be more justified. Ultimately, the dancing mini-game was just very tedious to play and didnt provide a great enough level of difficult to encourage players to master it. Whether this returns in GTA V is unclear, but if it does, the core mechanics of the mini-game must be improved
