As well as the pedestrians being lifeless, so too are the sidewalks they stroll along on a daily basis. Head to Vespucci Beach and you can ride the Ferris wheel and rollercoaster but this is essentially the only time you can interact with the scenery, cinemas, golf courses and tennis courts aside. So many buildings are inaccessible, and the few that are, such as the tattoo parlours, hairdressers and clothing stores, have exactly the same interior with a clone of the clerk who last served you, making getting a haircut or a change of clothes arduous and tiresome. Outside, there are a litany of storefronts lining Vespucci Beach and other parts of the map, barely any of which are interactive, and as you drive through Los Santos, you see a sprawling row of buildings on either side of the road, of course, none of which you can enter. There are too many things in GTA V that feel as though are merely there for show, like the pedestrians, and the buildings and houses, and because of that, playing 'V' can become a lonely experience.
