GTA V: 5 Reasons Why It Doesn't Need Cheat Codes

3. Multiple Protagonists Have Their Own Perks

gtacharacters Another reason to cheat in GTA games - and this applies to basically any other game - is to repair character health, do more damage with weapons or, if you're feeling particularly zany, slow down time itself. However, each of the three protagonists in GTA V have their own "powers" to begin with. Michael, the former bank robber, is able to slow down time while engaged in a gunfight, similar to Red Dead Redemption's 'Dead Eye' mechanic. Franklin, the repo man, can also slow time while driving, letting players react quickly to hazards and navigate traffic and Trevor, GTA 5's sociopathic ex-army pilot, is able to temporarily deal extra damage and take less damage when injured. So you see, cheats in this sense really are rendered rather redundant when our characters can do out-of-the-ordinary things anyway, don't you think?
