GTA V: 5 Things We Love (And 5 Things We Hate)

3. Length of Story Mode

Gta V 21 Grand Theft Auto games always used to feel as though they took a great investment of time in order to complete. Maybe it was the way that the missions were structured, or the way that there were usually several to choose from at a time, but there always seemed to be plenty to do. Darts and Tennis and Mountain Biking were unheard of, but it didn't matter because of the plot. In GTA V, the story seems so much shorter, possibly due to Rockstar working to include all of the additional elements alongside it and taking less time to develop it as they did previously. The days of having three or four contacts for missions seem to be over, replaced instead by frustration as players cycle between Franklin, Michael and Trevor, searching for a way to push the narrative forwards. Perhaps this varies from player to player or play-through to play-through; perhaps this particular writer rushed through missions and didn't allow enough time for new ones to be passed on. It's certainly worth playing the game through a second time to check.
