GTA V: 5 Things We Love (And 5 Things We Hate)

4. Hiding Duration

Gtavpoliceracist In GTA games of old, one or two star wanted levels were relatively easy to escape from. It worked because many of the missions required doing something which would impart a wanted level, so making the cops rather dense allowed the story to continue without too much stress or repetition. Although the cop system has since been improved by the introduction of the cone system borrowed from games like Driver, the hiding duration required for even the one star wanted level is now far too long. This is the only real criticism of the system: the idea of using "line of sight" is perfect and the way that the cops circle a particular area to concentrate their efforts while the player lays low in a car park or down a side street is commendable. However, it is not the actions which are an issue, but the time it takes for the process to complete. Is it patchable? Probably. Is it game-breaking? No, not by any means.
