6. The Open World And Its NPCs
GTA 5's world is, in sheer technological terms, simply breath-taking. Los Santos has everything that made the past GTA maps so fun combined into one great big open world funhouse. Fill that funhouse with the walking dead and some armed-to-the-teeth players and you've got your circus show. If you take a moment to revel in the sheer volume of random NPCs that dawdle around that great big sandbox and paint a target on the forehead of every single one of them, you start to get a feel for why this game mode would be amazing. Imagine taking a walk along the boardwalks at the beach, cutting or blasting down wave after wave of bikini clad zombies, Dead Island style. Or surveying a mountain range swarming with the dead and figuring out which path will spill the most blood on the Duneloader you just jacked. Or even passing through the city streets like you're Rick Grimes, blasting head after head off of the approaching horde. Zombie game fans admit it; you smiled at least once through all of that.
