GTA V: 8 Disturbing Locations & Secrets You Totally Missed

3. The Ghost Of Mt. Gordo

The GTA rumour goes that prolific stunt double Jock Cranley wasn't the nicest person to grace the streets of Los Santos. Annoyed by the constant complaints from his wife Jolene about their recent move to the new county, legend has it that on a seemingly romantic hike, Jock killed his wife by pushing her to her death near the summit of Mount Gordo. Originally thought to be nothing but a myth, a snippet of the news story can be found in a newspaper near the lower Los Santos beach. While the story itself provides a rather nice bit of detail to the world-building of the game, if you happen to be around Mount Gordo in the dead of night, you might see a piece of this storytelling manifest in a particularly haunting way. Every night for a few hours after midnight the ghost of Jolene can be glimpsed near the top of the mountain, with the name "Jock" inscribed in blood on a nearby rock. Following in the footsteps of the Bigfoot easter egg mentioned previously, the only way you can capture a good look at Jolene's ghost is through the lens of a sniper rifle or some other weapon. I personally didn't have time for that, as at the first sign of her I was hightailing it right back where I came from.
