GTA V New Character Trailers: 5 Gameplay Elements They Potentially Reveal

4. Ability To Hijack Helicopters?

Trevor's video is perhaps the most revealing in terms of potentially new GTA gameplay elements. Here, we see psychotic, unhinged hillbilly Trevor getting up to all sorts of outrageous activities, from insulting Michael's wife's breasts to battering someone over the head with a baseball bat. But something halfway through the clip caught our eye, and that was a clip of Trevor appearing to hijack a police helicopter midair. First, we see the metal bird gliding through downtown San Andreas, next, Trevor is on board, and is kicking its occupant through the door and to his sticky death on the streets below. This could again just be a mission cut-scene but let's imagine it isn't. LucasArt's 2005 action/adventure game Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction allowed us to hijack helicopters when they were hovering just above us. The character would jump up, grab onto the vehicle's landing gear, clamber up, force the door open, grab hold of the pilot and fling him to the ground. This was a fun feature and we'd love it if this ability was included in GTA V.
