3. Ability To Hide From Police In The Dark?

In Franklin's trailer there's yet another potentially revealing moment of GTA footage where he and his gang are out at night getting into trouble with the law enforcement. In the clip, we see a police helicopter hovering above the streets beaming down its search light, catching Franklin and an accomplice as they dash away from a rampage-fuelled crime scene. Could it be possible to hide from the police if we managed to evade the searchlight? GTA IV implemented a similar feature in the last instalment which incorporated a "catchment area" during a wanted level, and if you managed to evade that for a long enough period of time you would lose the police heat. Similarly, this could work with the police searchlight. The light from the helicopter could appear on the HUD map and if you managed to stay out of it for long enough the helicopter would eventually search for you elsewhere. It would freshen up police chases to no end.
