GTA V Review: 10 Things We Love

10. The Cars & Driving

Gtacars For a game called "Grand Theft Auto", the presence of cars is a pretty important factor. The developers of the game, Rockstar, have improved vehicles in the series, from the way they look through to how they're driven. The aesthetics of the sports cars seen roving round the more affluent neighbourhoods are stunning while the handling of the cars and bikes feels more normal and realistic. Vehicles feel heavier and weighted and won't fly off the road the second you kick up speed, while you end up feeling a certain degree of pride about your ride because each of the main characters has their own special vehicle. Trevor has the quadbike and other off-the-road vehicles, Michael luxurious super cars and Franklin low-riders. The latter of these vehicles really fills us with nostalgia in that they featured so prominently in GTA San Andreas all those years ago, and we got a small thrill when we clapped eyes on one for the first time.
