Easily one of the best additions to GTA V was the introduction of multiple playable character; the family-man Michael, the ghetto Franklin and the uncomfortably insane Trevor. Each felt satisfyingly complex and sympathetic (though sometimes Trevor undermined this) and it felt like Rockstar had left it up to the player which we were supposed to bond with most. Though each character had a distinctive identity, going into GTA VI many fans have speculated that Rockstar may give their new set of characters more of a unique playing style. GTA Vs trio of main characters each had their own powers to deploy to give them an advantage in some aspect of the gameplay, but it felt like there was room for this to be developed. For example, what if each playable character had a distinctive close combat style inkeeping with their personality? They would also each have access to a repertoire of more advanced combat moves to be gradually learned and utilised where firearms couldnt, in the style of United Fronts Sleeping Dogs. This would assist in developing the sense that you were playing as a group of differing characters, as well as ensuring that each individual handles very differently.
