GTA VI: 10 Mission Types That Need To Die

2. 'A Drive To Forget'

It's inevitable for a series whose mechanics have been founded so heavily in driving and transport that a few of the recurring gripes within the games would center around this. Despite a well-integrated 'fast travel' mechanic that makes use of taxis, driving across the famously large map of any GTA game can be an absolutely ball-busting grind at times. So when the game insists on forcing players from one end of the map to the other and then back again, it would be understood for those players to expect some worthy reward for their work. In some cases, this is unfortunately not the reality. At times these long, arduous drives proffer nothing more than a cut scene and a feeling of sheer frustration at the time wasted for very little reward. Thought the cut scenes that follow such missions are usually fairly significant for the future of the game, there needs to be a better way of introducing them. It doesn't matter what the following scene entails, spending a combined thirty minutes to drive there and with absolutely no other diversion in between is NOT time well spent.
