Less of a mission type since it's only been involved in one Grand Theft Auto title, however the torture mission from GTA V is sadly going to garner itself a place on this list. As the mission that sparked most of the inevitable controversy for this latest GTA title, it was always fairly likely that Trevor's torture mission would most likely be a one time thing. And in truth, it certainly should be that. As an experiment, this mission was somewhat of a success; this mission really pushed the boundaries of what can be classed as entertainment in this medium and its shock value was not to be underestimated. As a sustainable and reliable mission for the game's future, however, there is little case to be made for this to become a regular feature. Despite being a massive talking point and even providing some twisted entertainment in the hands of the game's most unhinged character Trevor, there is very little reason for a mission like this to make any sort of return to a series of games already so beset with controversies. In fact, there'll probably be something else equally controversial to make its debut next time around...
