The boss battle with Hades himself is appropriately one of the hardest fights in the game, made even harder in Extreme Measures 4, in which the boss fight gets significantly more difficult.

For the normal boss fight, one of the easiest tricks is when Hades uses his laser attack. The first phase of this involves Hades firing three lasers at Zagreus, which many avoid by hiding. It's much more effective to simply dash behind Hades right as he fires these lasers, giving you an uninterrupted few seconds to pummel dad from behind.

In the second phase's omni-directional laser attack, all you need to do is hug him - the lasers start a short distance away from Hades, which means close quarters damage can be applied without consequence.

EM4 Hades prevents this with his stunning pulse, so best not to try it then.

However, one helpful tip for EM4 Hades is his second phase summon. Dashing to the lower right or upper left of the map when this summon comes keeps the player safe from subsequent falling boulders, though only if you come from a different part of the map. Already being there often causes boulders to spawn above you.
